SS. Facundus et Primitivus, MM. (10. März, al. 27. Nov.) Vom Lat. facundus = beredt, beredsam. – Die hhl. Facundus und Primitivus litten in der Diocletianischen Verfolgung unter dem heidnischen Präfecten Atticus in der spanischen Peovluz Galicien (Gallaecia) bei dem Flusse Cäa. Nach Migne waren sie Brüder und Söhne des hl. Martyrers Marcellus. Bei den Bollandisten werden sie am 10. März erwähnt, im Mart. Rom. aber am 27. November, an welchem Tage sie auch im Elenchus vorkommen. In Spanien ist nach dem hl. Facundus eine Ortschaft »San Fangon« oder »St. Facundo« genannt, wo der hl. Johannes a S. Facundo geboren ist, der am 12. Juni verehrt wird. (II. 3.)
